SMS Check-in Terms and Conditions

Sabre Record locator / PNR (JetLite booking reference) is the six-letter code provided at the time of reservation. If you have made a reservation with a Travel Agent, please ask him to provide a JetLite (S2) PNR as the Travel Agent often provides you with their own system generated reference number. It should be entered in a format such as ABCDEF.

Please read the notes printed on your boarding pass carefully.

SMS check-in assigns seats by default as per the availability.

Once SMS checked-in, passengers will have to collect their boarding passes from the JetLite airport check-in counter at least 50 minutes prior to departure time for domestic flights. For international flights passengers need to arrive atleast 60 minutes prior to departure.

SMS check-in application allows only the passenger sending the SMS to avail a seat. If there are multiple passengers booked in a single PNR, each passenger will have to send an SMS with their respective name to check-in.

SMS check-in application allows check-in for all segments booked for travel in a day by sending a single SMS. To check-in for flights on the second day, passengers will have to send a second SMS subsequent to the check-in for the first flight in the itinerary. If the passenger is eligible for Through and Return Check-in for the onward or return sector, the passenger will be able to SMS Check-in provided the timelines are met.

Proxy check-in is not allowed.

Boarding gates close 25 minutes before flight departure. Please ensure you arrive for security checks and boarding well in advance of your flight departure. All check-in timelines currently followed at the airport will be applicable for SMS check-in as well.

In the event a passenger reports late, JetLite may have to re-allocate their seat, which may result in missing the flight. Reservations are subject to cancellation if the passenger is not on board the aircraft at least 25 minutes prior to departure. All existing no-show rules, terms & conditions, cancellation & baggage rules and allowances apply.

If the passenger does not report at the boarding gate 25 minutes before flight departure then the passenger will be offloaded from the flight as per the current procedure used at the airport. The passenger will be liable for gate no show charges.

SMS check-in is not available for traditional paper (TAT) tickets. It is available for eTickets only.

Gate no-shows will be offloaded from the system during the Missing Passenger Drill at the airport.

SMS check-in is currently available for:

  • Passengers holding a confirmed, valid eTicket only.
  • Passengers checking-in anytime between 48 hours and 60 minutes prior to flight departure for domestic flights and 4 hours prior to departure for international flights.
